Last year has been a little challenging to say the least. Not only on a global scale, but on a personal level as well. It’s now time to leave all of that mess behind us and look ahead to the new year with hopefully a clean slate.
Here are a few things that I personally want to achieve this year in no particular order:
Spend more time on the piano....
I started off this year with the best intentions of blogging more detail about my personal projects.
Well that didn’t go according to plan. Looking at my previous post dated 15th April and the lack of posts since then means that I failed. 2020 has been a crap year with COVID and the impact on people’s lives. I had grand ideas on things that I wanted to do and get done, and none of them happened....

While I’ve not been able to get out and about it has given me some time to do some cleanup and house-keeping of my environment, hobbies and interests....
It’s been a while since I last posted an update on the Whizz80 computer. I’ve been a bit slack in documenting my progress because each time I move a little step closer and it is more fun to keep building and designing rather than writing up documentation. However I have reached a bit of a milestone with a simple, yet working system so now is the time to pause and take note on what I’ve done so far....
I’ve spent this weekend migrating the old whizz80.com website from using GRAV to Hugo. To speed up the process I’m using the same workflow that I use for my blog site for the new whizz80.com site.
While I did enjoy using GRAV, I did find it a little bit clumsy with updating the website in comparison to Hugo. I was probably over complicating the process because I was using a GRAV plugin that would pull down changes from a github repository....
