Always the best intentions

I started off this year with the best intentions of blogging more detail about my personal projects. Well that didn’t go according to plan. Looking at my previous post dated 15th April and the lack of posts since then means that I failed. 2020 has been a crap year with COVID and the impact on people’s lives. COVID-19 Cleanup

Switching to Hugo. A new blog layout

Welcome to the new blog layout. After so many years of using a wordpress website, I have decided to switch to a static generated website using Hugo as the rendering engine. This should make the site a lot more faster and responsive as I don’t have to deal with the slowness and dependency of a database. By using Hugo, I can simply create new pages/posts as markdown text files (and using my favorite editor - vim)....

Back From Hibernation

I’m now back from hibernation after a long break from updating my blog. I’ve also spent a bit of time away from pioneer space sim. I kind of got a little bit overwhelmed with the detail that pioneer space sim required. I just simply couldn’t keep up with the fast pace of some of the current developers, and it was becoming a chore. It just wasn’t “fun” anymore, so I decided to take a bit of a break from it for a while....
